Music Composition Centre Talks and Events

New series of talks at Trinity College Dublin features Irish composers Gerald Barry and Garrett Sholdice.

The Music Composition Centre has announced the details of their next term of talks at Trinity College Dublin. The Music Composition Centre was set up to provide a platform to bring composers and performers to the TCD composition students, as well as an opportunity for those students to further explore new music beyond just the classroom. The new term of talks and events begins with Gerald Barry, composer and adjunct professor at Trinity College. The talks are also open to the public, and are free of charge though booking is required.

4 October – Gerald Barry

11 October – Garrett Sholdice, composer and director of Ergodos

18 October – Stuart King, clarinettist, CHROMA Ensemble

25 October – Nicola LeFanu, composer, professor at York University

1 November – Alex Kidston, Brass New Music Ensemble

15 November – Pavlos Antoniadis, pianist, IRCAM

22 November – Hormoz Farhat, composer, Trinity College Dublin

29 November – Brian Lock, film composer, University of London
