Cry of the Mountain; showcasing seven tracks.

Gael-Linn have this week re-released Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin’s recording of film and radio music from 1981, Cry of the Mountain.

Featuring seven tracks, the centrepiece is a sixteen-minute Concertino for Fiddle focusing on the set-dance and slow-air ‘Seán Ó Duibhir an Ghleanna’. The piece originated in an RTÉ radio documentary of the same name produced by Tony MacMahon in the 1970s.
