
Arts Council Seeking Traditional Arts Adviser
The Arts Council has issued a tender for Traditional Arts Assessment and Advisory Services. The three-year contract has a value of €160,000.
The role involves advising the Council on applications from individuals and organisations for awards, schemes, grants and other funding opportunities. The tender states that the adviser is expected to have ‘a detailed knowledge and understanding of Traditional Arts in Ireland and overseas, including the identification of new trends, and to ensure that the Council is provided with intelligence on same in a timely and appropriate manner’.
The tender also states that the adviser is required to ‘attend approximately 15 performances/presentations of work presented in locations in various parts of the country, given by both funded organisations and individuals, and to provide a written evaluation report on the artistic quality of the work seen.’
The adviser may also be asked to attend various Arts Council meetings, such as panel or committee meetings.
The deadline for submitting tenders is 5 March 2025 at 12pm, and the deadline for submitting clarification requests is 19 February. For further information, visit www.etenders.gov.ie.
