Arts Council Announces Emergency Stabilisation Fund

Arts Council Announces Emergency Stabilisation Fund

Organisations in receipt of Strategic Funding or Arts Centre Funding are eligible to apply; deadline is 13 August.

The Arts Council has announced a new fund to provide financial support to strategic arts organisations and arts venues in need of emergency funding due to the pandemic.

The fund, which is open now until 13 August, aims to avoid closures and to ensure that organisations are not in debt by the end of the year. Organisations in receipt of Strategic Funding or Arts Centre Funding are eligible to apply and each organisation can make one application to the fund. There is no limit to the amount which can be applied for but guidelines say organisations should only apply for the minimum amount they need until 31 December 2020.

The Emergency Stabilisation Fund is one of a number of initiatives announced by the Arts Council to mitigate the impact of the pandemic. Last month, increased funding was announced for the Bursary Awards. The deadline for applications 30 July.
