Dublin-based collective 3epkano, formed by Cameron Doyle and Matthew Nolan, are working with Iarla Ó Lionáird on a live score for the 1920 film, Der Golem to be screened on 1 November in the Triskel Arts Centre, Cork. Paul Wegener’s horror is about an antique dealer who stumbles across a golem — a clay statue brought to life centuries earlier by a Rabbi. The dealer tries to use the golem as a servant … with terrifying consequences, apparently.
