Help Musicians, a UK music charity with a passion for supporting musicians, is currently accepting applications for the position of Musicians Development Officer. The deadline for applications is Thursday, 1st June 2023, at 9am.

As part of the Musicians Development team, the appointed officer will be responsible for administering support to musicians who seek assistance for their creative or business growth. This includes providing expertise on funding opportunities and career prospects, with the aim of fostering an environment where musicians can flourish.

Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate should have experience working in a customer-facing or administrative role. They should possess the ability to process and summarise information accurately, as well as make informed judgements based on the collected data.

Effective relationship-building and communication skills are essential, as the Musicians Development Officer will be responsible for collecting musicians’ stories, driving engagement, and establishing long-term relationships. This will enable Help Musicians to gain a deeper understanding of the impact of their support.

Empathy and understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by professional musicians in the UK are vital. The successful candidate’s knowledge and insights will help foster ongoing and meaningful relationships with musicians, while also providing valuable input for future support and development opportunities tailored to musicians’ career needs.

The successful candidate will receive a salary of approximately £27,000 per annum, along with a 10% employer pension contribution, a health care cash plan, and a range of other industry-leading benefits. The office is located in Kings Cross, London WC1X 9JS, with hybrid-working options available. The role requires a minimum of two days in the London office, with flexibility to attend more regularly as needed.

This is a permanent, full-time position, offering 35 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday.
