The University of Liverpool is hiring a Lecturer in Classical Music Performance (0.6 fte) Grade 7.

This post is intended for a candidate with a strong ongoing professional profile as a performer. You will teach modules in the classical performance strand of the undergraduate programmes and modules in performance and pedagogy on the MMus (Performance). You will supervise PhD students and act as an academic advisor to undergraduate and postgraduate taught students.

The ideal candidate will be a lecturer who can build on the integration of reflective practice and historical-contextual study within the performance curriculum, complementing the individual lessons delivered by instrumental/vocal tutors, and who can develop students’ awareness of a variety of music pedagogy models. The role also requires excellent communication and administration skills. You should have a degree in a relevant subject.
