Galway Film Fleadh is pleased to announce that Wild Atlantic Pictures will be the official sponsor of this year’s Pitching Competition, which will now be known as the Wild Atlantic Pitching Competition.

The Pitching Competition, a cornerstone of the Film Fleadh, has provided numerous screenwriters with a significant opportunity to gain recognition within the industry. Participants are required to submit a written pitch of 500 words, presenting their ideas in a complete narrative form without leaving any cliff-hangers. Writers at any stage of their career are welcome to apply, and no prior experience is necessary. Submissions can span across various genres, including feature drama, documentary, and animation.

Finalists selected for the competition will have the opportunity to deliver a 90-second ‘Elevator Pitch’ in front of both an audience and a panel of industry judges on the closing day of the Galway Film Fleadh. This platform allows them to present their ideas concisely and captivate the panel with their creative vision.

The winner of the Pitching Competition will be announced at the highly anticipated Film Fleadh Awards Ceremony and will also be awarded a cash prize of €3000.
