Applications are now open for the Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra Online Course for 2023.

From 1 – 2 July 2023, there will be an online course for those with an interest in historically informed performance. Places are available to musicians of any instrument with an interest in historically informed performance. The online course is suitable for a wider age range than the performance course. Course Director is Claire Duff.

The course will run from 10.30 am – 1.30pm each day (with half hour break at 11.30am – 12 noon).

The course will cover a variety of aspects of baroque music performance, including an introduction to baroque music and historically informed performance, an introduction to baroque dance and a baroque bowing workshop for string players.

There will be a participation fee of €60 for the online course.
