London-based piano trio Ethel Smyth Trio (Jelena Makarova, Daryl Giuliano and Djumash DP) are Illuminate Women’s Music's performers in residence for its 2019 touring season. They will be working with our composers in residence Angela Elizabeth Slater Composer, Blair Boyd and Sarah Westwood as well as composers Kerensa Rosie Joanne Briggs and Laura Shipsey! These new works will be programmed alongside historical works including Judith Weir piano trio two, Nichola Lefanu Piano trio, Lili Boulanger D'un Matin de Printemps,Grażyna Bacewicz Lullaby for violin and piano,Ruth Crawford Seeger Study in Mixed accents for solo piano, Ethel Smyth's piano trio and Morfydd Owen's 1915 piano trio which has not been performed for the last two decades in its original instrumentation!
