Cuore Summer Concert: Stanford 100
Join us for this special Bloomsday concert to mark the 100th year anniversary of Charles Villiers Stanford's death. Come and experience the sounds of Joyce's Dublin as we perform a selection of Stanford's choral and organ works.
Our program includes the Irish premiere of a recently rediscovered Stanford piece, performed in the church where Stanford was a boy chorister, beside the house where Stanford was born!
We'll also perform Stanford's beloved 'Three Latin Motets', the evening canticles in C major, his mammoth anti-war anthem, 'For lo, I raise up', plus the ethereal 'The Blue Bird'.
For this performance Cuore Chamber Choir is joined by special guest Siobhán Kilkelly on organ.
