Saturday, 10 June 2023, 10.00am

Cruinniú na nÓg 2023 in Dublin on 10 June, organised by Creative Ireland in collaboration with Dublin City Council, offers a wide range of family-friendly events. These include neighbourhood festivals, dance, theatre, art and music workshops, readings, film screenings, and more. All events are free, local, and activity-based.

The initiative, "Give it a Go for Cruinniú na nÓg", is designed to celebrate and encourage young people's participation in creative activities within their local communities. The programme is designed and delivered by young people, city communities, artists, arts organisations, and various Dublin City Council departments.

Three highlights from the programme include "The King of many Cloaks and Crowns", a drama workshop for children aged 2-4, presented by Joanna Parkes and Dublin City Council Creative Hubs programme at Coolock Library. Tickets can be booked via Eventbrite.

"Wild Neighbourhood", a mini arts festival for families with children aged 4-12, celebrates the urban wildlife, nature, and the ecosystem of DCU All Hallows campus in Drumcondra. The event is presented by Grasshopper Events and DCU Arts and Culture.

"Unsung Youth", a mini festival presented by Familibase, Ballyfermot, features young musicians from the area performing a range of musical styles. The event also includes stalls for different youth services, food vendors, and a drop-in VR tent.
