VAI is looking to hire an Advocacy, Advice & Supports person for a three-year contract, three days per week in their Belfast office, with regular travel around Northern Ireland and to their Dublin office. The role will involve providing skilled independent advocacy support, empowering visual artists, and promoting their participation in decisions about their professional lives.

The Advocacy & Advice role will report to the Office Manager and collaborate directly with the CEO, Advocacy & Advice, Membership & Communications, and Lifelong Learning & Services staff. The role will support the research and delivery of Advocacy, Advice and Learning services in Northern Ireland, including Cross Border initiatives. Due to the nature of VAI’s work and the need to be accessible to artists at all times, the position is office-based.
