Monday, 20 July 2020, 9.00am

This year's edition of Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra will take place in Wesley House, Leeson Park, Dublin from 20th - 25th July 2020, with two public concerts, and rehearsals hosted by the Irish Baroque Orchestra.

Directed by Claire Duff, Leader of the Irish Baroque Orchestra, IYBO is for players of violin, viola, cello, double bass / violone, harpsichord, lute, theorbo, oboe, bassoon, flute and recorder aged between 18 and 24 (we might offer places to those a bit younger or older in some circumstances). Previous experience of playing in the Baroque-style is not necessary for taking part.

The closing date for applications is Sunday, 1 March 2020. Entry to the ensemble is by application form and video submission. Places will be offered on the basis of information provided in the application form, on video submissions and also, potentially, on communication with teachers.

The Irish Youth Baroque Orchestra is a collaboration between the Irish Baroque Orchestra and the Irish Association of Youth Orchestras.

If you would like to take part or are just interested in finding out more, you can find details at iybo.ie.
