The BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales is seeking a Head of Artistic Planning and Production to lead its artistic and production planning. This is a full-time, permanent position based at BBC Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff Bay.

Reporting to the Director, the role is responsible for developing the orchestra’s artistic programme, managing budgets, and overseeing visiting conductors, soloists and production teams. Applicants must have significant experience in a similar artistic role, with in-depth knowledge of symphonic repertoire, classical music production, and BBC Radio 3 output. The salary is £50,000–£60,000, depending on experience.

The closing date for applications is 22 April 2025. Interviews will take place online on 15 May, with second interviews on 22 May 2025 in Cardiff.
