Formed in 2012, The Ficino Ensemble gave its first concert in St. Anne’s Church in Dublin. The exciting collaboration of musicians from various groups around the country has the freedom to perform works big and small.  It has focused on the repertoire of the string trio, as well as modern and contemporary works. The group is named after Marsilio Ficino, the Florentine philosopher who wrote that music was composed of warm air, still breathing, yet somehow living.
