The post of Head of Music Planning fulfils an important key senior administrator role for the Conservatoire’s busy Faculty of Music. Responsible for a team of music administrators, the postholder is at the centre of planning an extensive programme of concerts, staged events, projects, festivals and recitals across the academic year.

Reporting to the Director of Music and liaising with senior members of the Music Faculty, you will deal with students, staff and external professionals, organise a diverse performance programme which is fully integrated with the Faculty’s teaching activities. This is a key, and demanding position, where it is vital to be able to draw on strong previous experience of music performance planning and project management.

Educated to degree-level in music, you will have strong and extensive music administrative experience (including team, budget and project management), outstanding communication and organisational abilities, excellent IT skills and the capability to deal with a busy and varied workload, sometimes working under pressure to meet deadlines.
