Julie Field, a bilingual poet and singer, is also an acclaimed spoken word poet, known as Julie Goo. She was crowned Munster Slam Champion in 2012. In her collection Dána, she explores the four world forces of Land, Air, Fire and Water. Dubhán Ó Longáin is a new voice in Irish Poetry, and in IDEO Locator, his short lyrics tackle themes of faith and sexuality with wit and precision. Áine Uí Fhoghlú’s work has been praised by Caitríona ní Chlérichín for its ‘profoundly celebratory aspect’, in which language itself is akin to ‘an eel alive with movement’. Her collections include An Liú sa Chuan and Ar an Imeall. Lillis Ó Laoire is one of Ireland finest singers of sean-nós, and has published widely on Irish language song as well as essays on other folklore genres and on literature.
