Feis Ceoil 125th Anniversary Prize Winners' Concert - Sold Out

Saturday, 28 May 2022, 7.30pm

Featuring an array of gifted winners from this year’s Feis Ceoil, this concert celebrates the 125th anniversary of the organisation’s first competition, which was held in 1897.

The 2022 Feis Ceoil, which is Ireland’s largest classical music competition, and which is supported by the Royal Dublin Society (RDS), ran from Monday 28th March to Friday 8th April. Having been forced online for the past two years, due to the performance restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s festival featured a mixture of live solo, duo and small ensemble competitions, with only the choir and orchestra competitions still being held online.

The Farmleigh concert will feature a cross-section of winners from Feis 2022 and promises to provide a special opportunity for classical music lovers to see and hear a number of extraordinary young performers at the very beginning of what promises to be a life-long musical career commitment for many of them. The recital will feature the following performers, who are all prizewinners at Feis Ceoil 2022:

Chamber group: Sarah Brazil (violin), Charlotte Croke (piano) and Elizabeth Troup (cello)

Aimee Kearney (soprano)

Adam Buttimer (tuba)

Duo: Rohan Harron (piano) & Johanna Dietz (violin)

Joe O'Grady (piano)

Music performed will feature composers from the three centuries that Feis Ceoil has been in existence, 19th, 20th and 21st!

This event is now Sold Out
