This fun interactive workshop with experienced community musician Sally Jaquet engages families in playing and enjoying music together by providing expertise in musical games, songs, and songwriting tips for children under 10 informed by folk music and pedagogy from around the world. We invite both parents and children to be a part of these sessions learning and “doing” simultaneously. The workshops will look at engaging techniques and resources that can help children to explore music both online and offline, including: learning songs and games from different countries; writing songs; making instruments; and practising musical mindfulness.
