Research and Review of Creative Places / Cumas Ceantar
Creative Places / Cumas Ceantar is an opportunity, developed by the Arts Council, for places which have not benefitted from sustained arts investment in the past to build local arts programmes which will benefit the people who live in these places.
Creative Places builds on existing cultural strengths, driven by what matters to local people and supported by artists. The approach is inclusive and diverse,
The Arts Council wishes to commission a two year research project, 2023 to 2024 to help it understand how the programme is evolving nationally, the different drivers of success in the different places and how best it can embed the Creative Places programme as a response to its Spatial Policy vision “where everyone has the opportunity to create, engage, participate in and enjoy the arts regardless of who they are or where they live and work” in partnership with its stakeholders in social arts practice and community development principles.
