
Culture Night Live from Dún Lúiche Hosted by RTÉ: RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Jessie Buckley, The Murder Capital, Ye Vagabonds, Aby Coulibaly and more
RTÉ is set to mark Culture Night with a live music and arts broadcast from Dún Lúiche, located in Donegal Gaeltacht, at 7 pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player on Friday, 22nd September. The presentation, hosted by Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, will take place against the backdrop of Mount Errigal and will feature the RTÉ Concert Orchestra alongside several guest performers.
Jessie Buckley, the renowned actress and singer, will participate in the event, delivering a rendition of a song by Sinéad O’Connor.
Other artists collaborating with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra for the evening are The Murder Capital, Aby Coulibaly, an R&B vocalist and 2FM Rising star, and Olesya Zdorovetska, an Irish-based Ukrainian musician. Additionally, Ye Vagabonds will present a performance on Oileán Árainn Mhór’s shorefront amphitheatre, joined by Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh and Nia Ní Bheirn. A commissioned dance by Breandán de Gallaí and his company, Ériu, will also be showcased.
Culture Night will also spotlight a series of events from various art forms including spoken word, dance, and street theatre. Among them are The Lighthouse Project in County Wexford, Fidget Feet’s aerial performance in Limerick, Smokehouse at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin, and Súil le Muir in South Kerry.
The celebration, facilitated by RTÉ, is in partnership with the Arts Council and receives support from Donegal County Council.
