Cork International Choral Festival is accepting entries for the 2025 Seán Ó Riada Composition Competition, open to both established and emerging composers born or resident in Ireland.

Compositions should be original, a cappella works up to five minutes in duration, featuring four parts, with texts in English or Irish. The winning composition will receive a cash prize and the Seán Ó Riada Trophy, and will be performed by Chamber Choir Ireland at the Gala Concert in St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral on 2nd May 2025. Anonymously submitted scores will be evaluated by an expert panel.

Applications are accepted until Friday, 6th December 2024.
