Irish Baroque Orchestra Apprentices Scheme

Are you aged 25 or under? Living in Ireland? A string player? Thinking about pursuing a career in historical performance?

The IBO Apprentices Scheme gives gifted period instrument players from across Ireland the chance to work alongside the Irish Baroque Orchestra.

The scheme will run from January 2020 to July 2020 and will involve:
– playing in selected IBO rehearsals
– lessons with IBO players
– attending an open rehearsal with Rachel Podger
– mentoring relationships with IBO players and management
– instrument loan where appropriate
– access to IBO music library and rehearsal space

We are now accepting applications for this scheme. To apply please send a video of yourself playing two contrasting pieces plus a CV and covering letter. Please include the contact details of two people to whom we could apply for a reference if needed.
