Hard Rain SoloistEnsemble (HRSE) is offering three small commissions, funded by PRSF’s Talent Development Partnership, for emerging composers from Northern Ireland. Emerging composers are defined as those without an extensive record of professional performances of their works, and for whom one of these commissions would significantly contribute to launching their career.

Proposal Assessment:
A panel will assess applicants’ suitability for the scheme and the quality of their proposals. The panel’s decision will be final, and no further correspondence will be entertained.

What is HRSE looking for?
HRSE seeks duo or trio pieces written for any combination of the following instruments:

Flute (doubling piccolo or alto)
Bb Clarinet (doubling bass clarinet)
Violin
Cello
Piano

Deadline for proposal submission is 12 noon, Friday 2nd June 2023. Applicants will be informed by Friday 16th June 2023. Successful composers must deliver the work before Friday 29th September 2023.
