BBC Scotland is hiring a Senior Head of Content Production.

The team is looking for a candidate to develop and deliver the team’s strategy, driving audience value across the range of content creation. You will provide strategic creative leadership, ensuring your teams develop a range of innovative content, collaborate across specialisations and meet the briefs of BBC services. You will drive diversity and representation of all audiences through our output and workforce and be financially accountable for your area of responsibility.

Reporting to Director BBC Scotland, as a key member of our Scotland Executive team, you will play a pivotal role helping to provide outstanding values-based leadership to a wide range of creative professionals across BBC Scotland. You’ll gain significant exposure across the BBC and have the opportunity to firmly establish and align your team to achieve our ambitious plans.

Are you the right candidate?
To ensure success it is vital that you have experience in heading up complex teams and experience in driving and delivering strategic change. Audiences are at the heart of everything we do so you need to have a deep understanding of changing audience consumption patterns and show evidence of creating diverse content and developing new on-screen talent.

You will have sound editorial judgement and substantial experience at an executive level in content production, with a track record in delivering content across several platforms. You should also have a commercial mindset with a thorough understanding of the wider creative industry.
