Panel of Creative Associates

Thursday, 12 March 2020, 5.00pm

The Arts Council is seeking to establish a panel of Creative Associates (CAs) to support the delivery of the Scoileanna Ildánacha/Creative Schools initiative. CAs are artists or creative practitioners with a deep understanding of creativity and its potential to transform the lives of children and young people.

It is expected that approximately 80-100 Creative Associates will be contracted to deliver the services to approximately 300 schools. The contracts will commence in September 2020 for a term of 1 year, with options to extend for up to 4 further periods of 12 months each.

CAs come from a range of creative professions, such as artists, designers and craftspeople. Whether from the arts, culture, heritage, creative industries, science or other sectors, they challenge, support and sustain new practice in schools in the field of the arts, culture and creative learning. Creative Schools is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme to enable the creative potential of every child. It is led by the Arts Council in partnership with the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
