The Tony and Grammy award-winning musical Hadestown is set to open at the Lyric Theatre in London's West End from 10th February 2024. This return for the musical comes after a sold-out run at the National Theatre in 2018. Hadestown has won eight Tony Awards including 'Best Musical' and a Grammy Award for 'Best Musical Theatre Album'.

Hadestown is written by Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell, who originally created it as an indie theatre project. Mitchell collaborated with Tony Award-winning director Rachel Chavkin to transform the show into a new musical.

The Original Broadway Cast Recording of Hadestown, blending modern American folk music with New Orleans-inspired jazz has over 300 million streams to date. It also topped Billboard’s Broadway Cast Recording chart and debuted at #8 on the Top Album chart.

Tickets for Hadestown will be on sale from 23rd May 2023 at 12pm. The musical is produced in London by Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, Tom Kirdahy, and the National Theatre, in association with JAS Theatricals.
