The BBC Symphony Orchestra is recruiting a Content Assistant (Orchestra & Tours Assistant) on a continuing full-time contract. The role is based in Maida Vale, London, with a salary of £24,300–£30,000 depending on experience. Reporting to the Orchestra Personnel Manager, responsibilities include coordinating freelance musician payments, supporting domestic and international tour planning, managing player recruitment processes, assisting the BBC SO/RCM Pathway Scheme, and providing administrative and IT support to the Orchestra. Applicants should have administrative experience, IT proficiency (particularly Excel), knowledge of orchestral music, and strong organisational and communication skills.
