Hailed for its versatility with exciting concert projects and musical voyages of discovery, the NCH début of the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin (Akamus) sees this award-winning ensemble present a fascinating selection of works by Mozart, Haydn, Gluck and Telemann all penned in the year 1765.

Soprano Christina Landshamer, in demand worldwide as a concert, opera and lieder singer joins Akamus for the 85-year old Telemann’s magnificent large-scale cantata Ino and a brilliant aria from Gluck’s opera Telemaco. The eight-year-old Mozart’s first sparkling symphony and Haydn’s spirited Symphony No. 28 also feature on this programme of surprising and rousing musical fireworks from 1765 performed with guaranteed aplomb by one of the world’s leading chamber orchestras playing historically informed music.
