Sound Recording Professor

Sound Recording Professor

Monday, 11 October 2021, 9.00am

The Royal College of Music in London is hiring a Sound Recording Professor.

As a Sound Recording Professor you will teach multiple classes for the undergraduate (FHEQ Level 6) elective module in Sound Recording and Production. Using the RCM’s specialist studio facilities, you will develop students’ practical skills in microphone techniques, editing, and post-production, enabling them to produce high-quality audio recordings. The College’s undergraduate students are classical performers and composers, so the focus for this elective will be classical music production. However we encourage a creative approach that explores connections between classical music practices and other genres.

You will be an experienced sound engineer with a track record of working in classical music. You will be an outstanding communicator who is able to design and deliver engaging practice-led learning activities. You will have previous experience of teaching and assessment at undergraduate level and awareness of inclusive approaches when teaching at this level.
