Drogheda Classical Music / Barry Douglas and Esposito Quartet
Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34
For the opening concert in a re-imagined series, Drogheda Classical Music is delighted to present Barry Douglas and the Esposito Quartet (Mia Cooper violin, Keith Pascoe violin, Joachim Roewer viola, Bill Butt cello) for Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34. One of the towering creations in Brahms’s catalogue — indeed, in all of music. Few works rival its masterful mingling of moods: majesty, serenity, tension, foreboding, anger, out-and-out joy. This concert is sure to set the tone for the coming series.
The concert will take place in the presence of a small audience in accordance with current Government guidelines and will last approximately 45 mins in duration, without an interval. It will also be recorded and available to watch on Vimeo from Friday 25 September for €10.
Drogheda Classical Music is funded by the Arts Council and Louth County Council and run in partnership with Droichead Arts Centre with sponsorship from the d Hotel and RTÉ Supporting the Arts.
