N.E.S.T. Call Out 2020

N.E.S.T. Call Out 2020

Friday, 17 July 2020, 4.00pm

Spraoi have once again partnered with the Irish Street Arts, Circus and Spectacle Network to bring you the N.E.S.T. (New Emerging Street Talent) programme. N.E.S.T. is open to artists at all stages of their careers, allowing them to test their ideas with live audiences and to receive mentoring for work already in development. NEST will take place as part of an adapted Spraoi festival programme this year happening between 4 – 13th September 2020.

This year’s featured performance style is ‘Walk-About’. A residency will be offered to selected artists between August 31st and September 4th with performance days taking place until September 13th. This year’s N.E.S.T. Guest Mentor is highly respected street artist Con Horgan of Fanzini Productions.

Spraoi is seeking proposals from artists interested in creating quality and innovative ‘Walk-About’ performances that engage audiences in street settings. Solo or multiple-performer acts will be considered. We want to hear about characters and related aspects of the performance you hope to create.

Selected artists will be provided with support for their ideas, fees, travel and accommodation and must be available for the required dates between August 31st and September 13th.
