2024 marks Camerata Ireland’s 25th anniversary, and the orchestra is delighted to be returning to the NCH for a specially curated series of 3 concerts which will take place in February, May and October 2024.

In this second concert of the series, Camerata Ireland presents an all-Beethoven programme: the Coriolan Overture, Symphony No. 5 and Piano Concerto No. 1 performed by the orchestra’s founder, Barry Douglas.

Camerata Ireland was founded in 1999 by internationally renowned pianist Barry Douglas in response to the Good Friday Agreement, with the aim of bringing together the finest musicians from Ireland and Northern Ireland to perform at home and abroad. Since its formation, Camerata has toured the world to great critical acclaim, performing in Europe, North and South America and China. At home, the orchestra hosts the Clandeboye Festival each year in Co. Down, where it is joined by internationally renowned soloists for a week of extraordinary music making in the historic surroundings of the Clandeboye Estate.
