Locals@Lunch - Tara Baoth Mooney

Locals@Lunch - Tara Baoth Mooney

Wednesday, 26 October 2022, 11.10am

As a part of our new female-led lunchtime series Locals@Lunch, singer Tara Baoth Mooney will be joined by Aoife Hammond and Ruth Clinton. All three women are singers whose individual practice flows between traditional and new music in quite different ways.

They will sing three traditional songs with minimal accompaniment and each song will be followed by a composed contemporary response. This is the first time that they will have worked together.

This performance will take place during the week preceding Samhain, and it will be an exploration of traditional and new work relating to death in the Goltraí and Caoineadh tradition.

Locals@Lunch will take place in the theatre foyer at lunchtime between 1.10 and 1.50pm. No booking is required. Just come along and enjoy forty minutes of creative escapism as a wealth of local arts talent is celebrated in this special lunchtime event series.
Feel free to bring your own lunch.

Anna Houston, Amy O'Hara, Sandy Kelly, Sinead Conway, Miriam Needham, Michele Feeney, Isabel Claffey and Tara Baoth Mooney will each curate and lead one lunchtime event in collaboration with artists of their choosing each week
