Organ Scholar Vacancy
September 2019 - July 2020

Following the appointment of a new Director of Music, St Canice’s Cathedral in Kilkenny seeks to an Organ Scholar to join the flourishing cathedral choir as we embark on a new stage in the musical life of the Cathedral.

The Organ Scholar will work closely with the Director of Music and the Cathedral Organist in developing the musical life of the Cathedral. They will be expected to attend all Friday evening rehearsals as well as all services (Sunday morning Eucharist and Evensong on the second Sunday of every month). Aside from remuneration, the Organ Scholar will receive a weekly organ lesson, optional weekly singing lesson, and will also have the opportunity to develop skills in choral conducting.

Remuneration for 2019/20 - €1,500
