Wunderground – A Family Concert By Ceol Connected @ Tradition Now

Saturday, 19 June 2021, 1.00pm

Far beneath the big oak tree, another world awaits.

It’s the Wunderground, and a new night has just begun. Badger has woken up from his slumber, and Rabbit has returned from her daily adventures…something, however, is not quite right. The earth has become unusually dry, and the tree and its many inhabitants are beginning to get very thirsty!

Join Badger and Rabbit on an unforgettable musical adventure, full of puppetry, traditional tunes and new songs, as they embark on a daring quest to save their home.

WUNDERGROUND is Ceol Connected’s newest gig theatre production for ages 3+, engaging young audiences with high quality, innovative, and meaningful experiences of the traditional arts. Children and their adults are invited to tune in for this highly participatory streamed performance, where they are encouraged to experience a sense of curiosity, wonder, and enchantment with the world beneath our feet.

Featuring:

Áine McGeeney (fiddle/vocals)
Thomas Johnston (MD/whistles/vocals)
Stephen Markham (keyboard/sound design)
Tommy Baker (puppeteer)

The concert will be available to tickets holders for a week following the performance.

Wunderground is co-produced with the National Concert Hall in association with the Pavilion Theatre. Supported by Draíocht Arts Centre and funded by the Arts Council.

Tradition Now is an initiative of the Arts Council and the National Concert Hall
