The Historical Harp Society of Ireland proudly presents its 2020 alternative festival, keeping the flavour of our past festivals, where participants and audiences explored, played and listened to gorgeous Gaelic music together.

Each day on our youtube channel the festival presents the youtube premiere of a talk, a workshop and a concert with live chat after each session. Learn about the history of the early Irish harp, its repertoire, and playing techniques. Enjoy workshops on exploring historical playing techniques, emotion and passion in Gaelic Ceol Mor, the emotions of modal music, early Irish harp and song. Listen to concerts of Irish and Gaelic music performed by the outstanding performers of the tradition.

We are also maintaining the one-to-one coaching sessions that have become a much loved festival feature over the last number of years. For this special year, we reached out to everyone who has tutored at Scoil na gCláirseach over the years; the result is our amazing 2020 line-up of Siobhán Armstrong (IRL), Simon Chadwick (N IRL), Sylvia Crawford (N IRL), Ann Heymann (USA), Andrew Lawrence King (GUERNSEY), Eibhlís Ní Ríordáin (IRL), James Ruff (USA) and Bill Taylor (SCOT).

All youtube events are free and open to all. Individual tuition and fee is organised with the tutor.
