Some words from conductor Professor James Cavanagh:
"We in Symphonic Waves are delighted to have delivered our first concert appearance as a new Symphony Orchestra in Ballinasloe in June this year.

Since its inception as a specialised string orchestra in 2017, the ensemble has been strategically expanded to include Wind, Brass and Percussion players and subsequently has grown from strength to strength. This development is evident in the continued delivery of excellence in performance and increasingly mature music making.

The orchestra is exploring a selection of musical genres including some of the great works from the classical music era as well as contemporary and popular music.

The musical journey thus far has been incredibly exciting and challenging. We look forward to many future performances. “
