The musical duo Campbell/Jensen, comprising Ashley Campbell and Thor Jensen, will perform at Workman’s Cellar, Dublin, on Sunday, 19 January 2025, at 7:30 pm. Tickets for the event are priced at €25.

Ashley Campbell, daughter of the late Glen Campbell, is recognised for her contributions to the country and Americana genres. She began her career touring with her father’s band and has since established herself as a solo artist. Her debut single, Remembering, written for her father, gained international attention. Campbell has performed globally, including at London’s O2 Arena and alongside artists such as Kris Kristofferson and the Bellamy Brothers. She has also showcased her banjo skills, featuring in Rascal Flatts’ music video for their song Banjo.

Thor Jensen, a guitarist and songwriter from New York, has built a diverse musical career spanning rock, Americana, and gypsy jazz. He has toured internationally with Hazmat Modine and performed with the Stephane Wrembel Band, focusing on the music of Django Reinhardt. Jensen has played at prominent venues such as Carnegie Hall and is immersed in New York’s jazz scene.

The duo began collaborating in late 2021, combining Campbell’s clear vocals and banjo expertise with Jensen’s baritone voice and virtuosic guitar skills. Their musical partnership blends elements from their varied backgrounds. In June 2022, they released a cover of Tom Waits’ Long Way Home.

In January 2023, Campbell/Jensen recorded their debut album at Turtle Cottage, a remote studio on an island north of Northern Ireland. Using a portable setup, they worked with engineers to capture their sound in the unique setting.
