Following Máire's Carroll’s performance of Philip Glass's Complete Piano Études at the NCH and the release of her album on Delphian Records in August 2024, Máire returns to the NCH to perform two evenings of dazzling piano études (studies). Join Máire for an étude extravaganza, celebrating the success of the piano étude genre with a thrilling array of female and male composers and solo piano works spanning from 1816 to 2015. Composers include Frédéric Chopin, Hélène de Montgeroult, Claude Debussy, György Ligeti, Unsuk Chin, Philip Glass and Nikolai Kapustin. This unique performance highlights the development and versatility of the piano étude, linking one composer to another through inspiration and influence.
