A vacancy is available for the role of Assistant Librarian and Chamber Series Administrator. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of orchestral music to degree level or equivalent and may be aiming to begin or be in the initial phases of an arts administration career.

The primary responsibilities of the Assistant Librarian include the preparation of orchestral parts and scores for rehearsals and concerts, distributing practice material to Hallé and freelance players, tracking Hallé sets, and overseeing borrowed materials. The individual will also manage the administration of the Hallé’s chamber concert series.

This is a full-time permanent role, requiring occasional evening and weekend commitments, and offers a salary of £22,000 annually. Applications must be submitted by 12pm noon on Friday 29 September 2023. The initial interviews are scheduled for mid-October 2023.
