Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Principal Oboe for a full-time, contract position.

Based in Poole, Dorset, the orchestra performs nationally and internationally and offers a range of education and community initiatives through its Participate department. The Chief Conductor is Mark Wigglesworth, and the Leader is Amyn Merchant.

Applicants must submit their CV and complete an application form by 9 am on Wednesday, 26th February 2025. Auditions will be held in spring 2025 in Poole and will include the 1st movement of Mozart’s Oboe Concerto (without cadenza) and excerpts sent to shortlisted candidates. Only applicants eligible to live and work in the UK will be considered.
