Kildare Jazz Festival: Lauren Kinsella Trio

Award winning vocalist Lauren Kinsella brings her new trio to Kildare Jazz Festival featuring two highly acclaimed British musicians; saxophonist Julian Siegel and pianist Liam Noble. Together the trio will explore some of the most celebrated song writers and singers in history from Dolly Parton and Sarah Vaughan to Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee in an intimate trio setting where story-telling is at its core.

Lauren Kinsella's music is regularly broadcast on major radio stations including BBC Radio 3, BBC 6, BBC Radio 2, RTE Lyric FM and RTE Radio 1. To date, she has appeared at numerous festivals worldwide including The London Jazz Festival (UK), Unerhört Jazz (Switzerland), 12 Points (Portugal), The European Jazznights Festival (Norway), The Shiva Festival, Malleswaram (India), Jazzy Colours Festival (France), Cool Britannia Festival (Austria), Ankarra International Music Festival (Turkey), Jazzwerkstatt (Germany), Bezau Beats (Austria), Kilkenny Arts Festival (Ireland), Bray Jazz Festival (Ireland), Dublin Literary Festival (Ireland), Belfast Literature Festival (UK), Südtirol Jazz Festival (Italy), Cologne Jazzweek (Germany), Spitafields Music Festival (UK), Cheltenham Jazz Festival (UK) and Jazz Jantar (Poland) among others.

She has released several notable and award-winning albums including Snowpoet's Wait For Me and Thought You Knew heralded by the National Public Radio (USA) as one of the best albums of 2018 with Edition Records and Roamer's Los Bees which received the Irish Times Best Jazz Album in 2022 with Diatribe Records.
