Maynooth University and Kildare County Council Library and Arts Services are inviting applications for the position of Writer-in-Residence for the period 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026.

The post involves an average of six hours per week contact time with students and the public.

The successful candidate will deliver creative writing workshops during the spring term, contribute to community workshops, and participate in events such as the Kildare Readers’ Festival.

The residency offers a contract-for-services fee of €30,000, payable in three instalments. Applicants must have published work and experience teaching creative writing.
