National Opera Studio are seeking an efficient, knowledgeable Artistic Planning Manager to join our core team. This role will be responsible for the scheduling and busy day-to-day running of all training programmes and short courses, the management of artists and coaches, and the coordination of a number of projects throughout the year. You will have a background of working in an arts organisation, with some knowledge of the operatic repertoire.

The Artistic Planning Manager reports to the Director of Artist Development and Head of Music. The ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with meticulous attention to detail is essential, as is excellent verbal and written communication and a high level of emotional intelligence.

Hours: 35 hours per week, plus an hour for lunch each day. There will be some periods when these hours are exceeded. There will be no extra pay for this work, but time off in lieu will be given for work undertaken on weekends and bank holidays. Core hours for this role are 10.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday. In addition, last minute and early morning rescheduling of artists and coaches may need to be made as necessary.

Holidays: 25 days, in addition to the usual public and bank holidays.

Place of work: This position is based at the National Opera Studio, 2 Chapel Yard, London SW18 4HZ. The ability to travel and work away from the Studio is also required.
