Culture Night Late

Culture Night Late

Thursday, 7 March 2024, 5.30pm

Culture Night Late is designed to support events that will begin after 9pm and continue late into the night on Culture Night, Friday 20 September 2024. This initiative aims to fund innovative and inclusive late-night arts events that can cater to a wide audience, enhancing the diversity of experiences available on Culture Night. Eligible applicants for the award include local authority arts offices (including Ealaín na Gaeltachta), arts festivals, arts centres, production companies, and arts organisations. These groups are encouraged to create events in public spaces or places, with the possibility of applying for up to €12,500 in funding.

The funding supports two main types of events: those led by local authority arts offices with an audience capacity exceeding 500, in partnership with arts centres or organisations, and those led by arts centres, organisations, festivals, or production companies, also with an audience capacity over 500, in collaboration with local authority arts offices and other arts partners. This initiative is in alignment with the Arts Council’s ten-year strategy, “Making Great Art Work: Leading the Development of the Arts in Ireland,” and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media’s Report of the Night-Time Economy Taskforce.

Applications must be submitted through the Arts Council’s online services website by 17:30 on Thursday, 07 March 2024.
