Ruth Dillon
Tipperary born/ Conamara-based singer-songwriter Ruth Dillon writes reflective and melodic songs driven by poetic lyrics. With a musical style steeped in folk and roots, she has a sweet, emotive voice and was described by Irish music magazine Hotpress as ‘a real gem’.
Ruth has had a busy and colourful career to date. She toured for five years as a singer with renowned Irish artist Dolores Keane, and has released three solo cds (‘Silent Thief’ & ‘Woken’) compiled of her own songs.
Currently, Ruth is one member of esteemed folk band ‘The Raines’, alongside Yvonne Tiernan and Juliana Erkkonen. They were voted in the top 10 Irish gigs of 2019 by the Sunday Independent’s Barry Egan.
Ruth will be performing from her Conamara home as part of the 'Áras Éanna Beo' series hosted by Áras Éanna Arts Centre, Inis Oírr.
