The Edinburgh International Festival seeks a Head of Music Programme to enhance its celebrated performing arts showcase, connecting global audiences with the forefront of creative talent. This pivotal role demands a professional to research, develop, and deliver the Festival’s music programme, under the guidance of the Festival Director, Nicola Benedetti. Responsibilities include orchestrating all musical aspects, from planning and scheduling to the final performances, and leading the music team. Collaboration with artists, orchestras, composers, and various organisations is essential.

The Festival champions diversity, encouraging applications from under-represented groups, particularly those from ethnic minority backgrounds and individuals with disabilities. This commitment underlines the Festival’s aim to ensure equal opportunity employment and to reflect diverse cultures both in its team and its audience.

This full-time, permanent position offers a salary between £48,000 and £58,000 per annum. The deadline for applications is 28 February 2024, with interviews scheduled for 11 and 12 March 2024.
