Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Principal 2nd Violin (sitting No.3).

Based in Poole, Dorset, the BSO perform extensively across the south and south-west of England, nationally and internationally, and also deliver an extensive range of education and community work, through its award-winning Participate department.

The Orchestra’s Principal Conductor is Kirill Karabits; Leader Amyn Merchant.

Single round, unaccompanied auditions will be held at the BSO’s home base in Lighthouse, Poole, Dorset on the following date:
Monday 18 May 2020

Requirements:
1st movement of a Mozart Violin Concerto (no.3, 4 or 5) (without cadenza)
1st movement of a major concerto, Beethoven or later (without cadenza)
Excerpts – these will be sent to those applicants who are invited to audition
Sight-reading may be given
